Seawall Renovation Project

For this renovation, OCC carefully pulled back the existing revetment, resetting fallen stones and bonding the base layer to a new epoxy-coated, steel-reinforced concrete foundation wall. The entire revetment was rebuilt and extended to enhance protection and structural integrity.

The stone wall was fully repointed, the landing completely rebuilt, and the seawall’s concrete extension repaired. A new OCC foundation wall now provides superior stability and long-term strength.

From restoration to reinforcement, OCC combines precision craftsmanship with a deep understanding of marine forces to ensure every seawall stands the test of time.
Rather than a full demolition and rebuild, OCC applied a proven technique that strengthened the structure while controlling cost, overflow, and storm impact. The team set back the revetment stones and created a temporary barrier to protect the site, then constructed an epoxy-coated steel cage around the existing wall. This design included a new reinforced foundation and added both height and width for greater durability.

Electrical and communication conduits were embedded within the new concrete, and the deep-rooted foundation extended another foot below grade. The result was a seawall that not only looked seamless but also provided superior storm protection and stability.
